The Solopreneur Life Has Made It To Alltop!

Larry Keltto • August 22, 2010

I found out late Saturday night while I was studying my Web traffic: The Solopreneur Life is on Alltop! This is a very, very big deal for sites like mine, because Alltop is the stamp of approval, the mark of legitimacy for Web content providers.

Alltop, all the top stories

Alltop is an RSS aggregator that collects the headlines of the latest stories from the best sites and blogs within a given category. Alltop chose The Solopreneur Life for the Business Intelligence category.

Alltop is like an online magazine rack, and users can customize their Alltop user experience by selecting up to 100 sites to follow. Alltop says of itself:

The purpose of Alltop is to help you answer the question, “What’s happening?” in “all the topics” that interest you. You may wonder how Alltop is different from a search engine. A search engine is good to answer a question like, “How many people live in China?” However, it has a much harder time answering the question, “What’s happening in China?” That’s the kind of question that we answer.

The cool thing about Alltop is that small, independent sites like The Solopreneur Life have a fighting chance to be picked. This is how Alltop describes part of its selection philosophy:

Some sites and blogs are relatively unknown but provide such high-quality information that we feel it’s our moral duty to tell the world about them…We like to help out underdogs and undiscovered gems.

So thank you for reading, subscribing to, and retweeting The Solopreneur Life’s content. Receiving the Alltop badge of honor will make me work even harder to provide you with timely, useful resources that help you succeed.
