Who Snaps You, and Your Solo Business, Back To Health?

January 24th, 2012 by Larry Keltto | Posted in Coaching, Starting Out

If it wasn’t for my chiropractor, Dr. Nick McGregor, I’d be walking on all fours. Seriously. I can’t imagine the pain and discomfort I’d be in if it weren’t for the adjustments I’ve received from Nick over the years.

There are times when I have minor aches — the kind I can resolve with stretching, yoga, or sleep. When I won’t be able to heal myself, I know it: I feel a lack of strength in the affected area; I sleep poorly; I’m not able to perform simple daily tasks; getting dressed is a challenge. At times like those, I don’t hesitate to schedule a chiropractic appointment because I know my condition is not going to get better on its own.

How the DISC Behavioral Model Can Help Solopreneurs

March 24th, 2011 by Larry Keltto | Posted in Client Relations, Coaching, Collaboration and Partnership

DISC is a behavioral model based on the work of Dr. William Moulton Marston (1893–1947) to examine the behavior of individuals in their environment or within a specific situation.

I was introduced to this system recently. I haven’t studied it in great depth yet, but I plan to because I think it gives us as solopreneurs a framework for understanding ourselves, our clients, and our collaborators.

DISC also can help us:

• Identify our weaknesses

• Identify growth areas

• Identify our fears

• Explain our motivations

A Solopreneur’s Search For the Perfect Online Scheduling App

July 21st, 2010 by Larry Keltto | Posted in Client Relations, Coaching, Office

Last week I went in search of an online scheduling application. I thought I would find the perfect scheduling app for my business within an hour or two. Sigh. That was not nearly the case.

The Backstory

I needed a more efficient method for my solopreneur coaching clients to book appointments, because I didn’t think my “system” of setting up appointments via e-mail was adequate anymore. Plus, I wanted to give clients the ability to book online without leaving my Web site.

My Coaching Offer to New Solopreneurs: Improve Your Business, Strengthen Your Community

May 25th, 2010 by Larry Keltto | Posted in Coaching

My greatest thrill with The Solopreneur Life comes in helping those of you who are aspiring and new solopreneurs. I enjoy working with you newbies (and I use that term affectionately!) through my Web site and my coaching because I can have the greatest positive impact with you. The learning curve as a new solopreneur is very steep, and this is when coaching services are needed the most.

I have two other reasons (both are selfish) for wanting to work with new solopreneurs: your tremendous enthusiasm energizes me and makes my days a BLAST!
